We recognize and honor the importance of ancestry, the original, Indigenous ancestors of a place, our own lineages, and cosmic, ineffable Ancestors as well. Reconnecting these threads of ancestry helps us fulfill the dream of once again living in sacred reciprocity with all life: flora, fauna, microbes, the elements of Fire, Water, Wind and Earth. The sentient beings of Earth in their myriad forms are our Ancestors.
At present, we typically gather on the ancestral homelands of the Tongva and Chumash. We are indebted to and grateful for these Ancestors — their deep love, enduring wisdom, and profound connectedness to place.
